NMIA Chapters are formed in local areas to further the aims of the NMIA Association. Each Chapter undertakes activities including but not limited to the following:
1. Enhancement of the profession of military intelligence through support of recurring activity such as conferences, symposia, meetings, and formal and informal exchanges of information among members and other interested parties;
2. Creation and expansion of formal and informal social and professional networks involving practitioners, consumers, observers, and interested persons and organizations associated with military intelligence and kindred activities;
3. Improvement in lay and professional understanding of the practice, culture, uses, and contributions of military intelligence to national security policies, programs, and institutionsto includepublications, conferences, meetings, electronic communication systems and academic research and training;
4. Elaboration and support of public recognition of military intelligence professionals and organizations; and 5) such additional programs, activities, or other undertakings as approved by the NMIA Board of Directors.
